Obituary

JULIA ANN ANDERSON
Voorhees, NJ

In the late afternoon of Thursday October 3, 2019, after a 10 year battle against Alzheimer’s, Julie Anderson of Kirkwood, NJ decided she had enough and passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She was 84 years old.
You could write a book with all adjectives you could use to describe Julie: Smart, Passionate. Kind. Tough. Loving. And everyone who knew her would each likely describe her a little differently. But no matter what your relationship was to her, one thing was constant:
Julie Anderson believed in you.
She was never shy to share her opinion, and as her husband Bob could attest to, she could even be a little hard on you (and him) from time to time. But no matter what the circumstance - Julie always believed every person in her life had the potential to be great. And she wanted to make sure they believed it too.
Julie amassed a wealth of wonderful memories throughout her life. Whether it be from growing up in Centralia, Pennsylvania - or raising her children, Lynn, Leslie, Brian, and Jeff - or traveling to places like Scotland, Italy, and Hawaii withy Bob. Julie left no stone un-turned.
And at the end of the day that’s what life is about: the memories you develop. The film you direct from the time you are born to the time you are ready to pass on. Julie may have been stripped of those memories due to Alzheimer’s, but they survive in each of us. They survive in her husband Bob, her two daughters Leslie and Lynn, and all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
We all have pieces and fragments of beautiful times with Julie in our hearts. Hold on to them. Covet them. Share them. Make sure the memory of who she was is never lost or forgotten.
Do not just remember Julie - remember for Julie.
Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Wednesday October 9th from 10:00-11:00 AM at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, 1439 Springdale Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ 08003. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Our Lady of Sorrows Ukranian Catholic Cemetery, Langhorne, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Julia’s name to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Dr., Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053 (www.samaritannj.org).
