Obituary

Thomas M. Culp, of Southampton, NJ, passed away on September 30, 2019 at Cooper Hospital in Camden. He was 67 years old. He was the beloved husband of Jean (nee Abbey) since 1976, the amazing Dad of Abbey Bradshaw and her husband Rob, devoted Pop Pop of Jayce and Riley Bradshaw, and dearly loved brother of Charles Culp and Marge LaDue. Born in Corning, NY, he was named after his father's best friends Thomas and Michael. He was a Cub Scout, a Boy Scout and an altar boy and loved ice skating and the 3 Stooges. He graduated from Corning Painted Post West High School and attended Corning Community College. He worked as an accountant, most recently at PHH Mortgage in Marlton, NJ, loved camping, the Finger Lakes, country music, and old western movies. His most important role, however, was as father and Pop Pop. He supported his daughter Abbey in everything she did, spending most weekends being a horse show dad and cheering her on. Later on he helped her and Rob renovate their first house into a home and supported her in all her endeavors. He was also incredibly proud of his grandkids. He loved playing with his grandson Jayce, teaching him to play T-Ball, ride a bike, play board games and they often made popcorn together in their old fashioned popcorn machine. His granddaughter Riley was his little princess, and they enjoyed painting and coloring together, as well as spending the evenings sitting in his recliner together. He built a play set for the grandchildren by hand, and loved to take them to the park. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing 6-8 pm Wednesday, October 9 at BRADLEY FUNERAL HOME, 601 NJ 73 South at Evesham Rd., Marlton, NJ. Burial will take place at a later time in Cooper Plains Cemetery in Painted Post, NY.
